WHO WE ARE

JOE ORIAZE IMHANWA FOUNDATION

JOE ORIAZE IMHANWA FOUNDATION (J.O.I Foundation) is a non-governmental organisation established in June 2016 with the aim of giving hope and inspiring the widows and single mums who are women in Nigeria under an integrated societal and spiritual vision.

Our aim is to harness the potentials of these widows and single mums who are vulnerable at widowhood to become productive in the society through capacity building, advocacy and economic empowerment that culminates in their financial independence.

The overall goal of JOI Foundation is to as much as possible reduce financial stress to the barest minimum through the provision of need related financial assistance along with mentoring, counselling and guidance after due evaluation.

It's not the magnitude of our actions but the amount of love that is put into them that matters.

Agro-Based Industry
JOE ORIAZE IMHANWA FOUNDATION AGRO-BASED CAPACITY BUILDING AND EMPOWERMENT CONFERENCE
The Lagos state branch of JOI Foundation staff and members were recently in the farm of our previously empowered farmers in our quarterly conference to educate and inspire them to go into farming.
This is in line with the newest policy by our BOT/BOG on the need to contribute to our nation's drive to diversify into agriculture in order to increase our food basket.
Consequently, one of our Rose (member widow) who is now a very successful farmer was our resource person who enlightened us all on how to building capacity and the advantages of going into farming as a primary or secondary source of income.
It was indeed an educative, capacity building and inspiring time for us all as she tells her success story in the video and pictures.

TESTIMONIAL VIDEO

FLORENCE ADEKOYA

Florence Adekoya came crying after being forcefully evicted from her shelter with properties thrown into the street. She was overwhelmed with joy as JOI Foundation paid for another shelter within 2 hours. She came dancing, rejoicing….

(Words spoken in Yoruba dialect):
“You will go from strength to strength!
You will go from honour to honour!
The children that come out of your loins that you love will not lose their lives!
In the name of Jesus your beauty will not be destroyed!
Ahh… You will never be homeless in the name of Jesus.
My heart is overwhelmed with exceeding joy!
I am very happy!
You did not allow me to sleep outside, to sleep inside the gutters homeless.
Ahh… Mummy! Thank you so very much.
My heart is full of joy.
Aunty! I am so happy; my heart is full of joy.
Thank you so much, may GOD bless you.
(Demonstrates by rolling on the floor repeating: May GOD bless you).
Thank you mummy, thank you very much.
(Gets up repeating the same words)”.
