God bless you.
Josephine is a widow and a mother of five Children.
Rose Josephine came to Joifoundation seeking assistance to set up a small scale business- Selling of Beans cake ( Moimoi.). She had serious financial set back due to health issues that resulted from her in- laws attack on her (while fighting to claim her husband’s properties after his demise)
Joifoundation field Officer ensured her claims were ascertained and also discovered she was living in a water logged dingy house.
With the funds available then, we gave her Our STARTER PACK (to fund the purchase of the cooking materials and ingredients) for her business to commence while she was advised to get another stream of income and she got a sweeping job.
JOI also paid for a new accommodation (relocating her from the water logged house to a decent house) which is close to her relations due to her old age.
Once more, giving fresh start and hope to our Roses, are possible due to our funding partners. JOI and all our Roses appreciates your support.
Our Rose ( widow) for this week is Edith. She is a mother of three children. She came to Joifoundation recommended by another Joifoundation beneficiary (i.e one of our Roses)

JOI Filed Officer upon confirmation of her claims, JOI released funds for the rentals and secure a new accommodation for her and the children.
Rose Edith currently sells ( by hawking) pastries. JOIFOUNDATION is currently tutoring Rose Edith on the need to establish an additional source of income. (This is towards making Rose Edith to be more Financially Stable – so as to be able to take care of her rents herself next year).
Here , she expresses her joy and thanks to all who made this possible (keep roof over her and her children).

Just before the COVID-19 lockdown in Lagos State, Nigeria in April, one of our widows called to thank us for the large quantity of beans and arri shared to them during our Benevolence Conference on the 28th of March and wished she could get some rice. But I told her the NGO was low on funds. Surprisingly, two of our anonymous donorspaid the sum of a hundred thousand into our account on the 31st of March. We went to the market that same day to purchase bags of rice and cartons of noodles for repackaging while we also called on our widows to come in by noon to pick up their food packs. Thank God we where able to meet the deadline before lockdown.

My Good GOD!”.

Joy: (Laughs and giggles…).
Interviewer: Talk to us, what’s making you happy, I can see the way you are singing and dancing and all.
Joy: All because they made me happy. As in, JOI Foundation helped me. I couldn’t believe it! GOD I thank you! It’s not easy.

(Words spoken in Yoruba dialect):

“You will go from strength to strength!

You will go from honour to honour!

The children that come out of your loins that you love will not lose their lives!

In the name of Jesus your beauty will not be destroyed!

Ahh… You will never be homeless in the name of Jesus.

My heart is overwhelmed with exceeding joy!

I am very happy!

You did not allow me to sleep outside, to sleep inside the gutters homeless.

Ahh… Mummy! Thank you so very much.

My heart is full of joy.

Aunty! I am so happy; my heart is full of joy.

Thank you so much, may GOD bless you.

(Demonstrates by rolling on the floor repeating: May GOD bless you).

Thank you mummy, thank you very much.

(Gets up repeating the same words)”.
